Thanks to the carelessness of my company - despite numerous warnings from the staff, no policy (!!) on updates so, if you didn't use Windows Update yourself, your machine would permanently remain with its factory settings - oh no it wasn't :( (I wasn't affected because I run the Microsoft Baseline Security Analyser every week and am careful in other ways, but many others were).
