I agree that tactics is important but tactical mistakes are often not result of
missing a combination.

I think that exercises of solving combinations are not the best exercises to do
if the target is to improve as fast as possible and better exercises may be to
take a lot of positions when 1600 players blundered when the target is to avoid
a tactical mistake.
