i like chess software over books for training because they offer good feedback.
Almost all students need motivation and while it is casual to call this
'laziness' it probably is less true and hardly a cause to flame someone for
being candid.
Mr Tan, Chess Mentor is probably the product best suited for you disposition. It
uses learning cycles, reviewing groups of problem which include strategy and
tactics. Alot of the content of chess mentor is printed in Jeremy Silman's
Reassess Your Chess WORKBOOK for about fifteen bucks, you can save alot of dough
if you just buy this instead, yet I think you will be less 'lazy' if you lay out
the seventy bucks for the advanced ChessMentor at ICD. Best regards, marc
