I bought Rebel 10 for $99.95 a week ago, naturally, I am rather annoyed that I could have waited a week and saved $40.00 First I should say that I am quite satisfied with Rebel as a program. It is strong, full of useful features, and, after using it for a few days, I was satisfied that the high price was not unreasonable. If the price had not dropped, I would still be maintaining that. I will not comment on Mr Schröder's reasons for the sudden price drop. He must have realized how much bad feeling this would cause, and calculated that this was still what was best for his company in the long run. Time will tell whether it was a smart decision. I am certainly not inclined to buy any other REBEL products at the moment. I do think, however, that the "Rebel 1" compensation offer is adding insult to injury. I'm sure that it is not a bad program, but I doubt if it as good as the better freeware programs currently available, Crafty, or Rebel's own "Decade" program. Offering this program, which he would not be able to sell anyway, is not going to make anyone feel better about his company. As for ICD's own compensation offer, I realize that they are not obligated to make any restitution for a decision made by one of their suppliers, so , thank you ICD. Marc Plum
