I have noticed that The King 3.23 moves much too fast at 5+3 and 3+2 time controls long ago. Following the recent discussions I decided to Fix the problem myself because I dont think there is any hope for a Fix by Ubisoft. Chessmaster 9000 is now much stronger in matches on one machine with ponder off in CB-GUI. It usually searches 1 ply deeper in the middlegame. Depth 9 or 10 in the middlegame instead of 8 or 9 on AMD2000+ and AMD 2200+ at 3+2. Chessmaster_SKR personality had no chance against Shredder 7.04 in longer Blitzmatches with ponder off on my machines and lost pretty badly (35%). Now Chessmaster_SKR seems to be on a level with Shredder 7.04 in blitz (52% so far). Not a single lose on time. My idea is simple. I use inbetween.ini to tell The King it has time x 2 for the game until its clock is down to 100s. With ponder off The King should be almost 50 ELO stronger in Blitz. Not sure about ponder on.
