thanks, so start with just straight checks, but I know many program do extend on
some captures, what sort of captures do they extend on? and how do they 'know'
when to extend? what other extensions are there? I know of check and capture,
but what else?
thanks for previous answer, good to know it's not some totally crazy bug :)
