Ok since im going to be buying a new computer soon, hopfully, to run just chess
software I have done much homework on the subject.

In the process I have asked many people about there thoughts and what they have
seen. Now the Ones with Intel (pentium or xeon) have all said they liked them
and said its a good buy...... exactly what anyone who used Amd processors said
to me! Looking at this link it seems dual xeon 3.06's would be the fastest
processors out there right now, thus a supstantial more amount of Kn/s. BUT Amd
offers very good processors (dual athlon mp 2.4 ghz, or I beleve otherwhise
known as 3200+) which is ALOT less then Xeon when you factor motherboard +
processors you could save upwords of a thousand dollars on Amd and not be to far
away Kn/s whise from xeon. The main thing im looking for is an exact test of the
the top 3 Intel processors vs top 3 Amd. As of right now I would go Amd, looking
that all the top programs in competetive engines (fritz, shredder, ect) all seem
to use Amd processors as well would suggest they beleve there the better TESTED
option.
