To be honest, I'm not sure what "Rule of Thumb" applies anymore, but I do think
the SSDF is more accurate today then 10 years ago.

I still find it ahem...dubious when I see Shredder 7, btw one of many great
programmes I own, rated over 2800! That's Computer Chess...10 years from now
those ratings will be deflated:o)
