The interesting would be with a setup like these Junior-Kasparov matches or WCCC where the games are a competition with adjustement between games. But these advanced matches don't belong to the Elo list even if you take away the engine. So whats left, Junior_266M, Junior_450M(AMD), Junior_1.5G(P4) ..... Since Elo lists are calculated in time, version numbers aren't interesting. You could probably create a fixed hardware for each year, but anyway is this interesting at all when the best setting (team above) isn't messured. Odd Gunnar
