Fellow CCCers, As another autumn closes in, my thoughts turn towards the next batch of chess programs (usually just in time for Christmas). I hear that Hiarcs 9 will be out before too long, but I have not yet seen any example games it has played. Perhaps I just missed them? If anyone can provide some data, I would certainly be grateful and I suspect several others here may be also! Fritz 9 (if that is what it will be called) should play Kasparov later (November sometime?) and that will give the world examples of its play -- but before resigning myself to buying the next revision of Fritz, I would like to see some play from some of the other programs also. Anyone know if there is a planned release date for the next Shredder? Thanks, and my apologies for so many questions! Roy
