Just one transaction going bad out of 100 successful ones is >enough to make the whole thing a bad idea. Any and all commerce activity has an element of risk. The element of risk increases when time and space increases, identities are not verifiable, transactions are international. Just for the record, CCC does not encourage this behvaior and assumes absolutly no liablity and offers no insurance/guaranty should you decide to enter into a transaction as a result of responding to someone's offer to buy or sale on CCC. Buyer and seller beware. Off topic (non chess related) offers to buy and sale and commercial exhortations will be deleted without question (as long as we see them or someone tells us.) Repeated commercial exhortations will result in permanent banning. Private , non commercial posts regarding personal chess computers for sale on Ebay are fine (this is my view). The safest transaction are with businesses that have sound financial history, physical presence (store site) and have a reputation for making things right if things go wrong. ICD is an example. Ebay does have higher risk, generally, and private transactions typically have the highest risk.
