Congratulations for getting it working!!!!!!!!
Well let us see. You had an old Cyrix IC in your computer and there was crashing
when others with different ICs such as INTEL and AMD said no problems and then
you  replaced that IC with a newer Cyrix IC and voila no problems. Seems like
the Cyrix IC was the problem to me. Maybe Cyrix have cleaned up their act so we
now can depend on them to run chess programs properly.
