I would go with Linux instead; that's what I have running on my dual P3
rackmount.  It's running headless with Red Hat 9.0 using the standard SMP kernel
and everything seems to work fine.

     10:51:43  up 20 days, 17:54,  1 user,  load average: 2.00, 2.00, 2.00

Had a power failure three weeks ago due to a thunderstorm.

At the very least, reserve a partition on one of the drives for Linux so that
you'll be able to do performance tests on your chess software without Microsoft
overhead.  Plus, way fewer viruses to worry about.
