For some reason you and Sally live in lala land when this topic comes up. There
is absolutely no way on earth that any of the players you mentioned would play
under those conditions. Yes, it would make for good entertainment, but there is
ZERO reason for any of those players to participate in such an event. "Duty to
all mankind" is obviously not important to them, or they wouldn't accept boring
draws like they do in the first place.

Besides, money for losses but not draws? How many legitimate chess players do
you think you're going to attract with that backwards offer? Boring draws are a
problem, but you're throwing out the baby with the dirty water here. For every
super-GM match that ends in a boring draw, there are plenty of other legitimate
draws.

There are certainly improvements that can be made to this situation, but
awarding no money for draws and significant money for a loss is not one of them.
