Every once a while - there is a deal so great that even if you were not thinking about buying something - you buy it anyway. Amazon.com (US) is running a special promotion that if you sign up for amazon.com credit card, they will give up $30 to spend at Amazon.com (with certain restrictions). I signed up just for the credit card to buy Kasparov's new books "My Great Predecessors, Part 1" and "My Great Predecessors, Part 2". These books normally list for about $35 each. My net cost is $18.20 - that is a too good of a deal to pass up. Note the delivery date of 12/11 - that is because I opted for maximum savings and will have book books delivered at once. Part 2 is not even out yet - but I have patience. The delivery on Dec 11, will be just in time for the Holidays - I will just hand the box to my wife and make her job a little easier.
