I happened to lay hands on a Centrino notebook recently and was able to run a couple of benchmarks. I found the Centrino surprisingly effective at chess programs. The machine was an IBM Thinkpad T40 with a Pentium M (Centrino) 1.5 ghz processor and 256 MB of RAM. Both programs ran with 95 MB of hash (their choice).
