My response also does not demonstrate that it is *not* the best. It may well be
that such is the case. But a thorough investigation might be interesting. I
suggest the following experiment.
1. Take the 6000 test positions from my ftp site.
2. Try to solve the test positions from this site at 1 second, 2 seconds, 4
seconds,..., 512 seconds per position {or until you don't have that much time
available. At 512 seconds per position we are talking about 900 hours}.
3. Repeat this process for each program in the test.
4. Repeat the entire experiment.
