I've read this quite often - especially in combination with the Chessmaster,
that Mindscape " míssuses " the customers as beta testers.
Of course this is far awy from the truth. - Their most problematic product, the
CM 5.000, was accompanied by 15 ( fifteen )testers in the US and GBR,
exeptionally responsible for quality assurance, ect.
This didn't work out that well, as everybody knows - but Mindscape really cares
about complaints of the customers - given proof by fixings mostly on the
intensive reports of KK.
Which were, totally against the original purpose of KK, badly missused as a kind
of " holy war " against CM, by translating his valuable article and bringing it
under the headlime " The Master of the bugs..." in a local chess mag.

The late German release - 1.04 - is nearly without errors.

As far as CM 6.000 is concerned, I assume it as the most impressing release
within the whole CM series, by various reasons.
Here, as well - and quite normal - some errors could be found - but Mindscape
reacted very quick, again.
For my opinion, the larger the product, the more possibilities - the more likely
is the chance, to find errors, no matter if in CB or CM.
I think, it's of much higher importance, what the Co DOES with the complaints of
the customeres.
There's been a rumour, some Co's debate long and wide - what's a bug, at all,
and if, what has to be fixed for free - ect.
Sure not Mindscape !
