Warum schreibe ich das hier? English: You wonder why I write this? Nun, ich bin überzeugt davon, dass die Zukunft des Computerschachs in immer kleiner werdenden Geräten wie Palm, Pocket oder Handy, stehen wird! English: Well, I am convinced that the future of computerchess lies in hardware devices which become smaller and smaller, like PDA's (Palm), Pocket PC's or mobile phones. Christophe Theron (ChessTiger), hat das glaube ich, auch schon so etwa gesagt. English: Christophe Theron (Chess Tiger) has made such a statement, too, I think. In wenigen Jahren werden die meisten Menschen nicht mehr auf großen PCs Schach spielen, sondern auf sehr kleinen und tragbaren Geräten. English: Maybe a few years later, most people won't play chess on big PC's anymore but on very small, portable devices. Das wird schneller kommen, als mancher denkt. Bereiten wir uns also darauf vor! English: This could happen sooner as one might think from today's perspective. So, we should be prepared for it! Die großen PCs werden dann nur noch für ausführliche Analysen etc.. benützt werden, und werden dann die Ausnahme in der Masse bilden! English: Then, the big PC's would only be used for detailed analysis and would represent a minority in the masses of small, mobile devices. Eduard
