From CCT5: Baron-Zappa. Baron had launched an assualt on Zappa's king position and won a pawn. The resulting rook endgame is very difficult for white because all of the pawns are on the same side. White may be able to win, but usually 3v2 on the same side is a draw (I think). Especially as Zappa's King is well positioned. [D]8/p2r4/2pk4/2R5/1P6/8/PKP5/8 b - - 0 1 Here Zappa uncorked the marvelous 46..Rb7 47.Kb3 Rb5?? 48.Rxb5 and lost within 10 moves. anthony
