I am surpruised to read it because Junior8 beated Junior7 in the ssdf games and
it seems to be better than Junior7 based on results that I read against other
programs.

It may be interesting to see specific examples(positions when you found
that Junior7 is better) inspite of the fact that the positions from your
experience do not prove that you are right(see explanation later).

Same for Tiger14 and Tiger15.

I am not a master.
My last israeli rating that is equivalent to Fide rating is 1997 but I think
that I cannot trust opinions of masters about players that are stronger than
them.

I believe that there are a lot of positions that you do not know the best move
(otherwise you could be better than master) so you cannot know which program
suggests better move.

You may know about specific cases when Junior7 suggest better moves than Junior8
but they do not prove that Junior7 is better than Junior8 and it is possible
that other positions are more important.

I agree that mobility is important in chess.

As a programmer of a program that is still significantly weaker than Junior or
Fritz I know that increasing the score for mobility is one of the things that
helped me to improve my program and I use only the number of moves to evaluate
mobility so I am sure that there is a room for more improvement.
