Go up one level in this thread
Try going to the winboard directory (C:\games\winboard\) and typing: winboard -fcp ssechess -fd="c:\games\ssechess\" Alternatively, you can add a listing for SSEChess (or any other program for that matter) in your winboard.ini file so it will show up when you choose "Winboard Startup Dialog" from the Start menu. Look in the the help for Winboard on how to do this under "Help Contents" then "Installing Chess Engines" then look at number five in the list and its associated help files. On a side note, the last released version of SSEChess was released on November 01, 1998, so if you don't have that you might want to download it although the only difference is a speed improvement. Hope the above helps, Sam Slutzky On November 02, 1998 at 01:01:00, Micheal Cummings wrote: >I have just started to use winboard 4.0, I am trying to load SSEchess engine > >Winboard is in C:\games\winboard >SSEchess is in C:\games\ssechess > >I have read the help files and been to some sites, but I am still at a loss, I >can get various things to happen but none to make the program load without error >messages, I have been to the SSE chess site, nothing there, help files with the >program are non existent, what am I missing here.
