The DGT electronic chess board arrived last Friday and I did get a chance over the holiday weekend to install and use with my computer. The fritz 8 program recognized the new hardware without any issues and I was ready to go. The board recognizes the chess pieces as you set them down on the board by color and type of piece. Nice for setup of positions :). I do not like the flat screen monitor pictures when playing the computer so this board really made a difference for me. With this setup you do not have to look at the computer until the game is over if you choose. I do not play speed chess so I tried a few games (the outcome I will not say), but I had to look at the monitor to see the move since the moves go faster than the computer can say where it moved. I started playing games on US CHESS LIVE and I do not have the board setup for this but I am told it will work over the internet. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase. The best price I found was $360.96 + shipping. In my opinion this purchase was well worth it. Richard
