It doesn't cost anything if you set up the system yourself, but you can also buy a commercial Linux distribution specially for the Opteron from SuSE. It would allow you to run Deep Sjeng, Crafty, SCID and xboard, but not much more as far as chess software goes :-/ -- GCP
