I use 60 seconds/position for most test suites, but, like Crafty, allow "early exit" if the target move has been found and has held steady for a certain number of plies (usually 5). This makes running test suites time-consuming. Usually I start them in the evening and let a bunch of them run overnight. Lots of people use shorter time limits, especially for easier test suites like WAC. WAC can be run with 5 or 10 seconds per position and still give useful results. Arasan's test results can be found at http://www.arasanchess.org/tests.html. --Jon
