That was my thinking, but not being an AMD expert yet, I don't know for
sure.  We are in the process of buying an AMD Opteron cluster.  A small
(4 nodes 2 cpus each node) cluster and a larger cluster (24 nodes, two
cpus per node).  Once we get one of those in, I'll know _much_ more about
the Opteron...
