Where did I hear that one before? Michael, if >you were standing up against software piracy I would be the first person to >speak up on your side. But that is not what you are doing. You are standing up >for the repression of freedom; the freedom of people who paid for software to be >able to use their software how they see fit. Perhaps that no-one is speaking up for your side >might tell you something? You are not persuasive. What about the rights of the authors to be paid for their software if used. There is a balance , where that line should be drawn varies by people. I this case I have made my position clear. Keep im mind the only I'm restriciting here is making the "deadking" a non grata subject for links and postings. You can still go to r.g.c.c and post and link to your heart content about "deadking" I can tell you about the repression of freedom. Not too long ago, we had a new member who signed up with the handle of "mynigga". To some that was just a handle. But to others, including me - that was a racist handle meant to torment and hurt our black members. To some people, restricting handles to "non racist" is a restriction of freedom. But to me and others, it is a restriction of freedom if we allow our members to be subject to such torment and hate. So I understand your position, but it must be balances with the rights of others - in this case the chess programming authors. They have rights too! Best, Michael
