Subject: question about junior and the weakness of the even plies.

A friend that is playing correspondence chess told me that he read
in the past something about this in a guide of chessbase so he is careful not to
let Junior to get to even depth.

I never heard about it.
Do you know something about it?

I told him that I do not believe that even or odd plies are relevant and deeper
is better but he insisted that he read something about it.

I know that Junior is different than most programs because it does not go deeper
by 1 every ply but I also do not believe that a problem in even depth has
something to do with Junior.

He claims that it is possible that he read it some years ago and it is not
relevant for the new junior and asked me to ask about it here.

If you know more than me about it(including having a conjecture about what my
friend is talking) then please reply.

If you do not know except thinking like me that it does not make sense then do
not answer.
