I hope you didn't read anything that recommended the use of it either. :-)

The fact that most of us here are legally challenged does not mean anything of
questionable legal status must be assumed legal. Else the term questionable
would be meaningless.

And if I'm not mistaken circumventing protection is illegal, or will be soon
in a country near you. Regardless of the technicalities involved, because the
result is the same. Wether such laws will live long is another matter. In a
cynical mood I'd guess we will end up with a special tax on all kinds of
computing devices to compensate "the industry" for the average sublegal use.
