A simpleton with a strand of moral fiber can see the difference. Yes, perhaps only one byte is changed - but the one byte changed in "theking" allows ANYONE, including those that did not pay for CM9K to use the engine. Changing the book one byte does not allow anyone to use the engine. I personally do not use deadking, but for those legitimate users who use deadking I have no quarrel with. But I would not suggest anyone to use deadking and I will not allow deadking links for reasons already stated on CCC. You may post to your heart content on r.g.c.c about deadking, but not on ccc. Some people agree, others disagree. And then we have those that make a mountain out of molehill. As I tell my children, I sometimes take a position that is not (for me ) subject to debate. I believe links on deadking on CCC are against the charter of CCC , are morally wrong and show great disrespect to the author of the fabulous chess engine "The King" that milliosn have enjoyed. I have received an e-mail today that said "F*** you moron" in the subject heading and "Now eat that For Lunch you Sad Ugly f***er." in the body - all because I have an opinion and stance on this issue that is unshakeable and unpopular with some.
