Can someone please explain to me why junior 5 uses so much more of my system resources than Fritz 5? On a 400 Pentium with 128 MB of RAM and Windows 98, I find myself sometimes down to as low as 45% system resources left compared to around 70% when I'm using Fritz 5. Usually there is always one other application running as well. Shouldn't junior be able to utilize system resources more efficiently than Fritz? Secondly, do you get a stronger game if you combine 2 engines like Fritz and Hiarcs; one for tactics and the other for positional play or is it better to stick with one engine when running matches between different chess software?
