I think that you underestimate Tansel.
I heard from him that he beated moshe glazman and I could do only 2 draws with
him.

He is stronger player than his correspondence rating suggest and I guess that he
is not weaker than players with rating near 2600.

I know that he beated moshe glazman(ICCF rating of 2402)
and moshe glazman also should get better rating than he really has
I know for example that moshe glazman drew all games that he played with
Dov Rozenberg(today rating of 2582 and my history record against him is 2.5/3)
and won all games that he played with
Peli, Dr. Giora(today rating of 2460).

I believe that the system is simple against new players and the main problem is
the static numbers that new players get and a strong new player may get initial
rating of 1800 and reduce the rating of the opponents when the opponents are
only the new players and not players with high rating who escape from playing
with players with small rating.

I doubt if Tansel is weaker than Nickel and it is possible that he is even
stronger than him.

I suspect that ICCF is similiar to ICC and players may get high rating by
playing against the right opponents.
