Speaking about database management, I really hated it when Chessbase dropped
[from version 7 to 8] the ability to easily identify all opening lines leading
to a given position.

That made it easy for me to know which hardcopy opening book to go to to get
additional information.

In fact, for each opening line leading up to the given position, I would like to
be able to get statistics showing which line is most popular, etc.

Truly, I want a lot.  But . . . one thing at a time.

Yes, I DO want to expand Chessbase 8's capabilities with respect to analysis
engines and do not feel any shame in that.  I feel no obligation at all to use
Chessbase SOLELY as a database management tool.  Why should I?
