:)  GLC just got lucky... I assure you  :)

More seriously though, over the years GLC has got stronger and stronger.  And
during this time there has generally been a specific a target engine... one I
played GLC against, and GLC lost, the target being to beat this engine.  Arasan
was one of the engines, that certainly used to pound GLC into the ground.  :)

Other engines that have been used for this purpose by GLC are TCB and Phalanx.
Nowadays I have a gauntlet of 11 engines, and Arasan, TCB and Phalanx are still
in it.  But it also includes Crafty, Yace, Delfi, Aristarch, etc.

My target these days it not just to beat the 'next' target, but to beat them all
:)  It may take some time! (particularly that Ruffian fella :)
