I do almost *all* of my development under Linux and I'm wondering what a good set of programs that run natively under Linux would be for this gauntlet. My current short list (with the requirement that it run *natively* under Linux includes): Arasan Gothmog Crafty Yace Pepito Gnuchess 4.x Gnuchess 5.x pepito Are there other good engines that run under Linux and Xboard that would be worth including. Also note that I'd like a weaker program or two since I'd like to be able to run the gauntlet and win at least a few games ;-) My idea would be to run a set of 10 game matches (of 10 games each) against these engines (most likely at 15 +3 time levels) as an indication of wheter I'm making progress. I'd love to include PostModernist, but there is no available Linux version. Anyway, thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated. regards, --tom
