With all these problems it drew 4 games against Sjeng1.5 in Leo's tournament Crafty is a weaker program than the commercial but suggesting that it is inferior in everything is wrong. I believe that commercial are better than it but part of them may be not better in the same depth because they do more pruning. I do not claim that the pruning is wrong because the target of pruning is not to be better at the same depth but saying that the little pruning that Crafty does is not very safe compared to the top proffesionals is misleading because part of the top professionals do pruning that is more dangerous and there are positions that Crafty solves at smaller depth than Shredder.
