My impression is that Bob focuses on not losing fundamentally winable positions
(focuses on fundamentals), rather than refining search.  I've seen Crafty lose
middlegames embarassingly to CT15 and Shredder, but I've also seen those same
programs stumble into technical endgames with Crafty which they seemed to have
no idea they were lost.
