She's like the Rodney Dangerfield of chess "she don't get no respect"

World champion eliminated by – a woman!
03.04.2002 The inaugural FIDE Grand Prix in Dubai started with a bang. The
reigning FIDE world champion was eliminated by the reigning women's world
champion. Zhu Chen could have easily won 2-0 (but 1.5-0-5 was enough) for the
first-ever victory of a woman over a world champion in any competitive sport.
You will find games, results and pictures from Dubai here

>it is do. Zhu chen Congratulations on being the World Champion!! But hey next
>time if you lose and take on the fake made up title of Vice champion then maybe

>Zhu Chen defeats Alexandra Kosteniuk to take title
>14.12.2001 The Chinese girl won the first tiebreak game in the women's section
>of the FIDE world championship. Alexandra Kosteniuk equalised in the second. The
>rapid chess games ended 1:1, so two blitz games had to be played. Both went to
>Zhu Chen, who thus takes over from Xie Jun as women's world champion. A report,
>pictures and the games can be found
