When you load a PGN file, the program automatically sets the time control to
"Infinite" if there is no time control specified in the PGN file. If the time
control is Infinite, then the engine will never move.

Also, you cannot ask for advice if it is a computer's turn to move -- only if it
is a human's turn to move.

Does this sound like what is happening in both cases?
