I tried an FTP program successfully in between my question and your kind answer. OT: I've been using the free program, SmartFTP, which I like a lot but sometimes (for most sites, it seems, including Dann's) it requires me to use active instead of passive mode. I don't recall that being a frequent issue with prior FTP clients I've used. Do you the active/passive thing is related the cause of the IE issue?
