I thought so too, but if he actually wanted to play human-human where each player sit on each own pc. This possibility are in Chessmaster and Chesspartner eg. one part is acting like a host for the other end. Very similar like playing through an extern server like Playchess for Fritz. This could probably be setup for other programs too (like Fritz) with some smart setup with the auto232 protocol but in the two mention programs this is build in so there is only need for a few mouseclick.
