 A pretty good analogy. But it needs to be modified a bit since the procedure is
actually a search for the optimum resource level.
 If you don't want to make more than one shopping round a week at the mall you
can find the approximate uptimum by buying one of each. The first time. And
doubling each item that you had to go out and buy extra.
 An even better analogy would probably be a savings account or an investment
scheme.
