Reynolds Takata Life master USCF 2249 Fide ELO 2235 Have played chess since 1973 I own and have tested all of the programs below at 40/2 at least 15 games each. Many more games at shorter time controls. The thing to be noted about most chess programs is that they have now and perhaps always will have the inability stop strong players(and many times weaker players) from getting draws. The contempt factor implemented in most programs usually seem to come into effect to late in the game. Rebel 9&10 - GM Hiarcs 6 - Weak IM at best Fritz 5 - GM Junior 5 - GM Chessmaster (king 2.55) GM Shredder 2 - Weak IM at best Nimzo 98 - IM Genius 5 - IM strength but draws might cause it to not get norms Kaufman claims M-chess 8.1 to be GM, but i have no experience with the mchess series
