Ah, yes, I see now that the search is broken.  I think the MPC code I copied in
must be pruning lines it should not be.  After forcing Qc2 Bd3, I got only this:

   9     1.76   0.05   5. Qxd3 Qxb2+ 6. Ne2 g5 7. b5 g4 8.

But after forcing Qd2, I get this:
