ChessMaster chess-playing programs seem to have been financially successful, as evidenced by the large number of them sold in game stores everywhere in the USA. For some reason, The King was never made so that it could be used with the Fritz GUI. Maybe it's none of my business, but I'm curious. Why was the decision made to make The King incompatible with the Fritz GUI? What was the history of this decision? Could it have been a stategic marketing choice to compete with Fritz? Bob D.
