My sympathies are with you. I'm not knowledgeable enough to help you - but for
others - Microsoft NEVERS sends updates out via email. Never open any
attachment unless you are specifically expecting an attachment from that
specific sender. If anyone does not have a anti-virus , it is time to get
one.

You can get Norton for less than $10 :

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/stores/offering/list/-/B00006FI0T/all/ref=dp_pb_a/002-7066072-4320046

and there are some that are free. Norton for less than $10 is a good buy. I
have the 2003 version and it does have update - runs seemlessly in the
background and youa re always updated with the latest deifintions.

Make sure you have the latest Windows update If you run Windows.

http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp

You also Set Windows to automatically download install the latest security
patches - that is another good option to have turned on.

There are probaly some otrher good sugegstions 0 but I Just can't think of them
right now.
