Greetings! I have recently acquired this program for my Palm, and have enjoyed playing against it at shorter time controls whenever I had to wait somewhere. I found that I have to take it VERY seriously whenever I play games with a time control. However, it also has a "trainer" function. The levels extend from 1 - 8. The weaker levels are not interesting, but what I found amazing is that in two games I played at levels 6 and 7, the program decided to throw away a Knight for no reason at all. And mind you, this was after at least 2 minutes of "thought. I append the games: CML - Chess Tiger 2003.09.19 21:20 Level 6, 19.09.2003 1.e4 c6 2.c4 Sf6 3.Sc3 d6 4.g3 g6 5.Lg2 Lg4 6.f3 Le6 7.b3 Lg7 8.d4 Da5 9.Sge2 0-0 10.0-0 Sfd7 11.Le3 Se5 12.dxe5 Lxc4 13.bxc4 dxe5 14.Db3 Sd7 15.Dxb7 Sc5 16.Dxc6 Tac8 17.Db5 Dxb5 18.cxb5 Tfd8 19.Tfd1 Txd1+ 20.Txd1 e6 21.a4 Lf6 22.Kf2 Kf8 23.a5 Ke7 24.b6 axb6 25.axb6 Kf8 26.Lxc5+ Le7 27.Lxe7+ Kxe7 28.b7 Tb8 29.Tb1 Kd6 30.Sb5+ Kd7 31.Sa7 f6 32.Sc3 Kc7 33.Sa4 Txb7 34.Txb7+ Kxb7 35.Sb5 Kc6 36.Sbc3 h6 37.Ke3 Kd6 38.Lf1 f5 39.Kd3 Kd7 40.Kc4 Kd6 41.Sb5+ Ke7 42.Kc5 fxe4 43.fxe4 Kd7 44.h4 Ke7 45.Sb6 h5 46.Lc4 Kf6 47.Kd6 g5 48.Sd7+ Kf7 49.Lxe6+ Kg7 50.Ke7 gxh4 51.gxh4 Kg6 52.Lf5+ Kg7 53.Sd6 Kg8 54.Kf6 Kh8 55.Lg6 Kg8 56.Lf7+ Kh8 57.Sxe5 Kh7 58.Lg6+ Kg8 59.Lf7+ Kh7 60.Sf3 Kh6 61.Se8 Kh7 62.Lg6+ Kh6 63.Lf7 Kh7 64.Sg5+ Kh6 65.Lxh5 Kxh5 66.Sg7+ Kxh4 67.e5 Kg3 68.e6 Kf2 69.e7 Ke3 70.e8D+ Kd3 71.De4+ Kc3 72.S7e6 Kb2 73.Dd3 Ka2 74.Db5 Ka1 75.Sd4 Ka2 76.Db3+ Ka1 77.Sc2# 1-0 11. ... Ne4?? (The rest of the games is uninteresting, unless you are interested in bad human technique.) I really wonder what caused/causes this. All best, Charley
