It's being shipped from Canada, and doesn't say how much the shipping/handling cost is to Canada, USA, etc. I suppose you're supposed to guess. How else? A reputable USA supplier is selling it for $119.95 + $10.95(?) shipping to USA. But if you just want the 2.3 million unannotated games and don't need the Player Encyclopedia on a 2nd CD, you can get Big Database 2003 instead. A reputable USA supplier is selling it for $42.95 + $5.95 shipping to USA. In both cases the games stop in mid-November 2002, so they're already almost a year out of date!? So I'd probably wait for the 2004 version anyway. ------------------------------- There's also a large database being offered from Europe via advertisements on a well-known newsgroup. It contains over 3 million games, updated to Sept 12 2003. You can buy it on CDs or download them. It's currently selling for 33 Euros for the CDs, or 29 Euros for the download (1.00 Euro = about $1.15 US). They're also offering a free download of 2.5+ million games from 1485-1999, same games as above but without any 2000-2003 games. I've looked at the latter, and it apparently contains less than 0.1% doubles. ------------------------------- Dan Corbitt also offers a large number of games on his ftp site, compressed in .bz2 format so you'll have to find some way to uncompress them. But they're divided into 500 files based on ECO classifications so it would be a chore to download all of them, then combine them. Also his ftp site at cap.connx.com isn't connecting for me right now (even with my firewall turned off). WP
