 Object Oriented Programming is not rigorously defined. But three things seem to
be common in most definitions:
1. Information hiding/encapsulation
2. Polymorphism
3. Inheritance

 Of those three one and two are considered most essential. And inheritance is
not strictly needed for object orientation.
