The problem - if your needs make it a problem - is that it's a one-engine,
human-versus-computer or human-versus-human program. There is no facility to
integrate other engines, and analysis of games is almost unbelievably basic (you
can only ask for a hint in the middle of a game started from scratch; it is not
possible to analyse a previously saved game ... !)

There are also some usability errors in the GUI; for example, it is not possible
to break out of a game against the computer without it being rated - you have to
resign - and, although save and load is via PGN, the standard Windows dialogs
are not used in a (mistaken) attempt to make the operations appear independent
of the file system.

That said, I agree with Bryan's comments; if you just want to play the machine,
or play other people (via zone.com), it is excellent. The 2D chess boards are
particularly well designed, unlike many other programs which prefer graphical
flourishes rather than clarity.
